The Path To Be A Great, Incredible Muslimah^^

Since my first year of doing MD at Hasanuddin University, I was impressed when the third year students teach us in order to replace the doctors or professors during the laboratory session. At that time, I was astonished of their knowledge and I kept thinking how they're able to manage their time to study more apart of their particular block or subjects...wow!!!incredible!! They got their talents...their skills of communication...their skills of teaching...their skills of team work...their firmness of handling students...really astonished me...especially those who are under anatomy and physiology department...I thought they are smart and knowledgeable...the other tutors/assistants too (Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry)...I inspired them and I wished to be like them..but I kept thinking who're them actually and how this medical faculty hired them to assist the doctors and professors?? Until then, I heard that they're hired by the doctors, professors and the department...they are among the chosen one to teach based on their attitude, skills, knowledge and talents.

Later on during end of my second year, I've try my luck applying to be one of them..at first, I wished to be an Anatomy tutor as I thought that was my greatest weakness and I'm thinking to took up the challenge for myself to improve my knowledge. However I couldn't refuse my interest in research as someday I wish I can be a Medical Doctor and researcher...therefore, instead of Anatomy, I rather chose Microbiology...and it's not easy after all...from the procedures to apply and until now...it's full of challenges and I'm insist on doing this job as an 'amanah' from Him..It has challenged me to spend my full commitment on it apart from my particular study schedule...even sometimes I feel restless and tired, but I keep on telling myself, " once you enter, there's no escape...you are dare to enter and so you must dare to do your work..It's an 'amanah' from the almighty Allah S.W.T". It's not easy to spend your time to study for your main course and to study something out of it at one time. You have to be dared to to live a hectic life..and I thought, it's not far of the main point of being a doctor or medical student...a willingness to live a hectic life especially once they enter the clerkship/housemanship year soon...so I must train myself to live this way of life..to train myself to do a lot of things at one time...to train myself to work more than others...And wow!! It's great and I did learned a lot..at first I'm nervous to give talk in front of hundreds people but now I feel more confident..but the most important thing is the knowledge that we got..the process to transfer the knowledge to others..the skills of learning and teaching..and the appreciation that we have towards a single moment of pleasure..and most of the time, I always pray that I'll be able to be a good tutor that able to deliver the info that I have to other students...and at the mean time, my long term wish is to be a doctor, a specialist in Microbiology and Oncology, a researcher that able to apply the knowledge in Microbiology in order to find a cure for cancer...most specifically the cure for the cancerous cells or tissues...to substitute the the cancer genes with another genes or to delete the gene code that carry cancer gene...huh..it sounds hard..I need more information in order to fulfill my dream..and so from now on, I must work hard to achieve my target..i'm not sure how many years I need to reach it and I hope Allah will ease me and aid me in whatever I do...I want to be one of the talented Muslim doctor and researcher in order to put Islam in the highest position back to thousands years ago whereby most of the inventors and researchers are Muslim like Aviccena (Ibnu Sina); and his teacher Razes (Al-Razi); Joannitus (Hunayn Ibnu Ishaq), the teacher of al-(Razi); Geber (Jabbir Ibnu Hayyan); Thabit ibnu Qurah and many more.I wish that the greatest time of Islamic empire will be back soon...In shaa Allah...lets work hard and be a good Muslim for the sake of our Islam and our beloved Rasulullah s.a.w. ^^

We promised to do our best..In shaa Allah ^^

The samples and the mediums: though they make me memorized of my three years in University Teknologi Mara, Malaysia while doing Diploma inMicrobiology :)

The equipment in the Medical Microbiology Lab of Hasanuddin University Hospital are beyond my expectation.. :)

Lastly, before I end my post today, there's a quote from me:
"It's not easy to be a good person, but there's always a way to be a better person"
